What:

A custom 3D-printed lamp attachment for a 130mm vase with a replaceable LED.

Why:

To repurpose an old vase into a multifunctional table lamp. I wanted to maximize interior viewing with a slim lamp profile and minimal shade. Inspired by the glow of bulbs, the shape of clouds and the drip of condensation.

How:

The lamp is made from:

  • 3D-printed shade and vase cover.
  • 3D-printed diffuser.
  • 3D-printed removable LED enclosure.
  • 5v 1w USB-powered LED disc.
  • Tactile button switch.

The parts are designed to be swappable so they can be adjusted for future upgrades or replacements such as colour, material, lighting options.

Highlights:

Works exceptionally well as a grow space for small plants.
