What:

An incubator for propagating moss on stone.

Why:

Many aquatic plants benefit from emersed propogation vs submerged. Plants have direct and unlimited access to CO2 and more direct access to light providing ideal conditions stronger growth. To create a more efficient and organized system for propagating decorative moss stones, a platform to hold differently sized and shaped stones to be held in place while controlling the level amount of emersion, moisture, and humidity was needed.

How:

A  platform with  a pattern of circular holes allow stones of different shapes to be held stable while leg slots allows the height of the platform to be controlled. The result is a simple bed that allows the bottom of the stones to be submerged while keeping the top above water and moist. Moss can grow quickly and undistrurbed allowing to anchor itself to the stone. This avoids unesessary waste material like rubber or string typically used to tie moss down to a surface.
